SK hynix makes few consumer drives but they review very well, the P41 being a long-time reviewer favourite for efficiency and the P51 its first PCIe 5.0 model. Availability is the main drawback outside the US, UK and Asia.

Good at

  • Fully in-house controller, NAND and DRAM
  • Platinum P41 praised for speed and low power use
  • Platinum P51 is a fast PCIe 5.0 drive with DRAM cache
