A reference for appliance, electronics and PC-hardware brands: who makes it, where it comes from, what it is good and bad at, what reviewers and owners say, and where it is sold — for one brand, up to three side by side, or the best brands in a category for your country.

1. Which brands are good? Type part of a category into Category — mon offers LCD monitor — and pick it, then a Country. You get a table of the brands sold there, best rated first; ▸ opens a row’s details.
2. Is a brand good? Type its name into Brand (Brother) for its profile, or click a name in the table for the brand’s own page in that category — /brands/dell?category=lcd-monitor.
3. Compare brands: type samsung vs lg (up to 3, separated by vs or commas), or hit + Compare beside the price on two rows. An empty column has an + Add brand button, and removing a brand leaves an empty column rather than closing the table — clear the Brand box to leave it. The table stars the best score on each row; the chips above it switch between the categories they share.
4. Narrow any view with the Price chips. With a country chosen, details show local notes (warranty, service, local reputation) and the markets strip highlights it.
