Bookmark
Your own bookmarks, in folders, stored against your account rather than this browser. What you put in the Desktop folder also appears on Desktop. Links that take a value — {WORD} in the URL — are on Bookmark Ext.
Bookmarks are per account — sign in to see and save yours. The environment table below works either way.

Instructions
Your bookmarks, kept against your account instead of one browser: nested folders like Chrome, and import and export in Chrome's own file format. Links that take a value you type in have their own page, Bookmark Ext. The ArchiPro environment table that used to be this whole page is still here, folded away at the bottom.
- The page opens in use mode: search, click a folder to open it, click a link to go. Add, left of Edit, is the one button here that changes the list — it asks for a URL, a name and a folder, and writes nothing until you hit Add.
- For a link that takes a value — e.g.
https://dictionary.cambridge.org/dictionary/english/{WORD}, one box and one link instead of a bookmark per word — use Bookmark Ext. Here a{…}in a URL is plain text. - Hit Edit for edit mode — the whole tree of folders and bookmarks on the left, the selected folder's contents on the right — the same explorer as the S3 browser. Click a bookmark to edit it, and press Enter in any of its boxes to save and close; double-click opens it. Right-click for New folder, New bookmark, Rename, Cut / Paste and Delete. A new folder is named right in the list: type, then Enter. F2 renames the selected folder. Drag rows onto a folder to move them, or onto the edge of a row to reorder. Click a column header to sort; click it until the arrow goes to get your own order back. Done goes back.
- Import… asks whether to merge or replace, and which folder to land in — an existing one, or a new one it creates for you. Everything saves by itself a moment after you stop typing.
Tips
- Every bookmark is tagged with the folders it sits in — one under
aa / bb / ccshowsaa, bbandccin grey. Those follow the bookmark when it moves. Add your own in the Tags field under ✎ (Enter or a comma after each); they are searchable and ride along in both exports. - Bookmarks are stored in S3 under
users/<you>/bookmark/bookmarks.json, one object per account, so they follow you between machines and are visible only to you. This browser keeps just the search box, which folders you collapsed, and the ticket id below. - There is no Save button — every change schedules a write, and the label beside the toolbar says whether it has landed. It turns red if a write fails, with Save now to retry.
- The whole list is sent on every save, so a page left open for hours is holding a stale copy. If it has moved on somewhere else in the meantime, the save is refused rather than applied and you are asked which version to keep — with an Export first if you want both. Bringing this tab back to the front also quietly picks up newer bookmarks whenever there is nothing unsaved here to lose.
- If the list cannot be read, the page says so and switches editing off instead of showing an empty list you could save over the real one.
- A
javascript:bookmark — a bookmarklet — imports and exports like any other but is never clickable here: it would run against this page rather than the site you meant. Bookmarklet is the tool for those. - Edit mode ignores the search box on purpose — ↑/↓ and drops work on a row's real neighbours, so reordering a filtered list would move things past entries you cannot see. Leaving edit mode also closes any open row and the import panel, so there is never a half-state between the two modes.
- Drag and drop needs a mouse. On a touch screen, use ↑/↓ and Move to folder under ✎ instead.
- Bookmarks with a
{KEY}in their URL used to live here. They were moved to Bookmark Ext once, automatically, with their labels and last values, the first time this list was opened after the split. - Export HTML writes the file Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari import. Export JSON is the one to keep as a backup, in this page's own shape.
- Desktop's Bookmark widget shows only what is in the Desktop folder (the one with the monitor icon), one card per folder inside it. Move a bookmark or folder in there to put it on the board. That folder is always there: it can be renamed and emptied but not deleted, and Desktop's + adds to it. Bookmark Ext has a widget of its own.
- Merging matches folders by name and skips a bookmark whose URL is already in that folder, so importing the same export twice does not double anything.
- Hit Example, then click the search box for a sample search — or, in the environment table, the ticket field for a sample id and its own filter box. Nothing that writes a bookmark is an example target.
