GraphQL Request Extractor
Paste a captured GraphQL request payload (the JSON body with operationName, variables, and query). The operation name, variables, and a formatted query are extracted below.
Instructions
Takes a captured GraphQL request body and splits it into the three pieces you actually want to read.
- In your browser devtools, find the GraphQL request on the Network tab and copy its request payload (the JSON body).
- Paste it into Request JSON — or use Paste to take it from the clipboard.
- Read off the operation name, the variables, and the query re-indented from its one-line escaped form.
- Copy any of the three panels straight into a GraphQL client.
Tips
- The payload is the object with
operationName, variablesandquerykeys — the request body, not the response. - The query is unescaped and re-indented, so the
\n-filled single line from the wire becomes readable again. - Persisted queries send only a hash and no
queryfield; there is nothing for this tool to format in that case. - Hit Example and click Load example to see a real captured payload broken apart.
