Mixed6/10Budget

Simpson makes the kind of basic vented dryer found in many Australian and NZ laundries. It is cheap to buy and easy to use, but costly to run compared with heat pump models. Good only for occasional drying.

Good at

  • Cheap, simple vented dryers
  • Wall-mountable to save floor space
  • Easy rotary-dial controls

Weak at

  • Vented design has high running costs
  • Vents moisture into the laundry without ducting
  • Very basic features
