Patriot's Viper memory reviews well for the money and has a long track record. Outside the US it is a niche brand with limited, inconsistent stock, which makes support and exact-kit matching harder.

Good at

  • Viper kits are good value in the US
  • Viper Xtreme 5 offers high-speed DDR5 options
  • Limited lifetime warranty

Weak at

  • Patchy stock outside the US
  • Smaller range than G.Skill, Corsair or Kingston
  • Warranty claims often need to go back to the US or Taiwan
