Router / Wi-Fi

Good7/10Premium

Netgear's Orbi and Nighthawk ranges are fast and well reviewed, but priced at a premium and increasingly tied to paid add-ons. Good if you want high-end performance and don't mind the cost.

Good at

  • Orbi mesh systems are among the fastest in reviews
  • Dedicated backhaul on tri/quad-band Orbi kits
  • Nighthawk routers offer strong single-unit coverage

Weak at

  • Expensive compared with TP-Link and Asus
  • Armor security and some features are subscriptions
  • App pushes an account login and upsells
