Smartwatch

Good7/10Mid-range

Huawei's GT and Fit watches are well reviewed as stylish, long-lasting fitness watches at fair prices. They lack a real app ecosystem, so they suit people who want tracking and notifications rather than a full smartwatch.

Good at

  • Long battery life (often 1–2 weeks on GT models)
  • Premium design and bright screens for the price
  • Solid fitness and sleep tracking

Weak at

  • Very few third-party apps
  • Some features limited when paired with iPhone
  • Huawei Health app setup can be awkward on Android
  • Not sold in the US

Mobile phone

Mixed5/10Premium

Huawei's hardware and cameras still earn strong reviews, but without Google services its phones are hard to recommend to most buyers outside China. It remains a mainstream choice in Hong Kong, where many users are comfortable with the workarounds.

Good at

  • Excellent camera hardware on Pura and Mate flagships
  • Premium build and strong battery life
  • Innovative foldables, including tri-fold designs

Weak at

  • No Google Play or Google services outside China
  • Many Western banking and payment apps unavailable
  • Very limited retail and carrier support in the West
  • Expensive for a compromised app experience
