Appliance care / cleaning

Good7.5/10Budget

Hillmark is the go-to range for looking after stainless steel, ceramic cooktops and stone benches in AU and NZ, and appliance retailers often sell it alongside new whiteware. It is Australian-made and now part of Selleys. Does what it says.

Good at

  • Dedicated cleaners for stainless steel and glass cooktops
  • SteelKleen leaves a film that repels fingerprints
  • Kettle and coffee-machine descalers in the range
  • Easy to find in NZ and AU hardware and supermarkets

Weak at

  • Narrow range; not an appliance maker
  • Specialist bottles cost more than general cleaners
