Graphics card
Mixed5.5/10Mid-rangeEVGA was long the most trusted GeForce partner, famous for its support, Step-Up programme and transferable warranties, but it stopped making graphics cards in September 2022. Today you can only buy its RTX 30-series and older cards second-hand, and most standard warranties have expired while extended ones do not pass to new owners. A well-kept EVGA card can still be a fair used buy if priced below newer equivalents.
Good at
- FTW3 and FTW3 Ultra coolers were among the best of their era
- Standard warranty transfers to second owners with proof of sale
- Well-built, overclock-friendly boards
Weak at
- No new cards since exiting GPUs in September 2022
- Newest models are RTX 30-series; no DLSS frame generation
- Most 3-year warranties have run out; extended ones void on resale
- 2021: some RTX 3090 FTW3 cards died, blamed on poor soldering
- Reliability
- Value
- Features
- Service & warranty
In New Zealand: Used only (Trade Me); no NZ retailer sells new EVGA cards.
