Air conditioner / heat pump

Mixed6/10Mid-range

Carrier is a heavyweight in ducted US systems, while its ductless splits are a smaller part of the range and often sourced from partners. Solid, but not a standout for single-room splits.

Good at

Deep HVAC heritage and dealer network in the US
Long warranty in NZ through AHI Carrier
Well-known window and split units in Hong Kong

Weak at

Many ductless units are made by partners, not Carrier itself
Less residential split-system presence in AU and UK
