Power supply (PSU)
Excellent9/10PremiumSeasonic is the PSU brand reviewers trust by default: it designs and builds its own units, and its Focus, Vertex and Prime ranges sit near the top of every tier list. Long warranties back that up. You pay a little more for the name.
Good at
- Builds its own units; top-tier on tier lists and lab reviews
- Warranties up to 10–12 years on Focus, Vertex and Prime
- Excellent voltage regulation and quiet fan profiles
- Also the OEM behind many other brands' best PSUs
Weak at
- Usually costs more than equally rated rivals
- Some older units tripped protection with spiky GPUs
- Budget Core line is plainer than its reputation suggests
- Reliability
- Value
- Features
- Service & warranty
Prime TX / PXVertex GX / PXFocus GX / GMCore GX / GCFocus SGX (SFX)
