Fridge / freezer

Good7/10Mid-range

LG fridges are feature-packed and efficient with good temperature control. Some compressor failures have hurt its reliability reputation, especially in the US. A good choice if the warranty and service coverage are strong where you live.

Good at

  • InstaView knock-to-see door panels
  • Efficient inverter compressors
  • Wide range from basic to large French-door
  • Plumbed and non-plumbed water dispensers

Weak at

  • Linear compressor failures prompted a US class action
  • Ice maker issues on some models
