Summarize

Name a book and get its argument without the 300 pages — who wrote it, what it claims, a walkthrough and the key takeaways. To shorten text or a link you already have, use TLDR.

Read as a book title. The model writes from what it knows about the book; nothing in this box is summarised.

Identification, argument, walkthrough and 9 takeaways, from the model's own knowledge.

Summary

No book summarized yet. Name a book above and hit Summarize.

Powered by DeepSeek (deepseek-v4-flash). A summarize that never answers is usually a usage limit on the key.

Instructions

Name a book and get a Markdown summary of it, written from the model's own knowledge — no pasting, no upload.

  1. Type a title into Book — Thinking, Fast and Slow — adding the author when the title is ambiguous.
  2. Set Points to how many Key takeaways you want.
  3. Hit Summarize (or Enter). You get the author and year, the thesis, the argument, a walkthrough chapter by chapter, the takeaways, and how the book was received. Stop cancels a summarize on its way; Copy Markdown takes the result as-is.

Tips

  • This does not read a book — it could not. There is no upload, and a whole book is far past what one call can take in. So it asks the model what it already knows instead. That means it can be wrong or out of date — and a book the model does not recognise gets an honest “I do not know this one” rather than invented chapters, which is the answer you want.
  • An ambiguous title (Ulysses, The Art of War) gets the assumed author and year in the first line, or a “which did you mean” when two are equally likely. Add the author to skip that.
  • The reply follows the language of the title: 《活着》 comes back in Chinese.
  • The box caps at 200 characters, because it holds a title. To summarise an article, notes or a link, use TLDR.
  • Summaries are cached on the server for 90 days, so the same book at the same settings comes back instantly. Hit Regenerate beside “cached” to run it fresh.
  • The box, the point count and the last summary are kept in this browser's local storage and come back on reload.
  • Replies come from DeepSeek and spend real credits. Hit Example, then Summarize, to run a sample title.
