Compare

Put two or more things side by side — frameworks, databases, cloud services, apps, gadgets. You get a TL;DR with the winner, a 1–10 scorecard, then tables of facts (price, market share, release, status, links), key differences in numbers, short pros and cons, and how to choose. For open-source software, GitHub stars and weekly downloads are read live.

Powered by DeepSeek (deepseek-v4-flash). Prices, market share and versions come from the model's own knowledge, which has a cutoff — check the official sites before you decide on them.

Instructions

A side-by-side comparison of two or more things — software, services, products or brands — led by a TL;DR with the winner and a 1–10 scorecard, then tables of facts, key differences, pros and cons, and how to choose.

  1. Type what to compare, separated by commas or vs — React vs Vue vs Svelte, postgres, mysql. The line under the box shows how it was split.
  2. Optionally say what it is for — the winner, the verdict and How to choose take it into account.
  3. Hit Compare or press Enter. The TL;DR names the winner (🏆) and the Scorecard rates each item 1–10; below them are At a glance, Key differences, Pros and cons, How to choose, What they have in common and the Verdict.
  4. Copy markdown copies the whole comparison, tables included, for a doc, a ticket or a chat.

Tips

  • 2 to 6 items. Rows that do not apply are left out — you only get GitHub stars and weekly downloads for software that has them.
  • Stars, last commit and npm / PyPI weekly downloads are fetched live and link to their source; an archived GitHub repo overrides the model's status. Everything else is the model's own knowledge — there is no web search behind it.
  • Scores are 1–10, higher is better; the best in each row is bold and Overall is the average. The winner's column is marked 🏆 in every table. Links goes to each item's site, docs and pricing page.
  • Market share is only given as a figure when the model can name a source and year; otherwise you get a relative position like market leader or niche.
  • Nothing is stored on the server. Your last comparison is kept in this browser so a reload does not lose it.
  • The same prompt, written for pasting into any chat model, lives in prompts/compare/chat.md in the app's repo folder.
  • Hit Example, then click Compare or any of the Try chips to run a sample comparison.
