Reference

Modifiers are written in the order ⌃⌥⇧⌘ — see the Mac Keyboard tab for what each glyph means.

Some shortcuts are app-specific: the Finder and Browser groups only apply inside those apps.

Instructions

Common macOS keyboard shortcuts with their Windows equivalents, grouped by where they apply.

  1. Search by what you want to do (screenshot), by the key combination (⌘⇧4), or by app area (Finder).
  2. The counter under the box says how many of the full list matched.
  3. Copy any shortcut with the button on its row to paste into docs or a ticket.

Tips

  • Modifiers are written in the order ⌃⌥⇧⌘, so ⌘⇧4 is Command-Shift-4.
  • Some shortcuts are app-specific — the Finder and Browser groups only apply inside those apps.
  • Need what a glyph means rather than the shortcut? See Mac Keyboard.
  • Hit Example and click the search box to run a sample lookup.
